This is a view of Bangkok from the top of the Golden Mount, seconds before a monsoon raincloud reached us. I'm guessing the cloud was right behind me, but it could be coming from the left on the horizon (see above). Either way, neither of us saw it coming and it certainly arrived quickly. It was amazing. In just a couple of seconds we were completely drenched and it felt so good because it was warm (not like 'orrible British rain). The slippery rooftiles made getting back inside pretty hazardous and on our way back down the steps had gone and in their place a raging river flowed.
