I visited Thailand during the summer 2002. It was the monsoon season, which unless you are doing lots of overland, want to get a tan or hate getting wet, I highly recommend.

Helen (sorry hun you are in two of the photos) and I stayed in Bangkok for a few nights before heading South to the coast near Cha-Am.
