Colour below specifically requested by Sav by the way Sail upon the ship of dreams
Spanning oceans, gazing at blue skies
That surrender to the night
When stars peer down between moonlit clouds
The moon that stands its tireless vigil
Its rotundity sheathed in the fathomless void
The lone sailor keeps aloft above lapping waters the dying flame
Behold a flock of seagulls that tell of land
The shores riddled with fires lit by inscrutable forces
I fall upon knees into the sands
My soul has succumbed to the unbridled beauty that l behold
From within this chest my heart must be plucked
To dampen this unreasonable surge
That will surely tear me apart
Oh maiden for whom I would gladly die
I journey onward through the night and pray
That sanity remains my companion
In the endless days and nights ahead
As deaf I am that I hear not the battle cries
From a cruel tormented world
As blind I am that tears are shed from empty wells
As mute am I as the lumbering beasts that dwell in the forests
That I may not tell to anyone or any thing
Other than the moon
Of what fair countenance I have seen
Etched within my fevered brain for ever more
A love I send to you
In forlorn hope that such thoughts
May pertain to the entire world
To make it a better place Sav |
